Looking after our horses means paying attention to the little things as well as the big ones.

Regularly picking out their feet is an important part of their daily care. It helps remove stones, mud, and anything else that could become trapped and cause discomfort or injury.

Join our online learners and experience the Random's Retreat herd from the comfort of your own home! Our Equimotional team has created fun, educational workbooks and will send you friendly weekly tasks to enjoy at home.

This is focused towards young people aged 7-14yrs. These workbooks are emailed to members with regular email contact, access to a private WhatsApp group and weekly tasks to complete.

You’ll also be part of a community group where you can:

💜Keep in touch with our team

🐴 Our animals are at the heart of everything we do at Random's Retreat. 🐔

They're more than just the residents of Random's Retreat, they're our teachers, our companions, and often the reason people first discover us.

Every session, every activity, and every experience is built around treating our animals with kindness, respect, and understanding. In return, they help people build confidence, find calm, make connections, and create unforgettable memories.

Whether it's grooming a horse, feeding the sheep, cuddling a guinea pig, or simply sitting quietly alongside the herd, our animals have an incredible way of bringing out the best in people.

They respond honestly and without judgment, reflecting what we’re feeling beneath the surface and inviting us to slow down, breathe, and become more present. In a world that often feels fast, overwhelming, and disconnected, horses create space for grounding, awareness, and emotional regulation.

Looking for a fun, hands-on outdoor activity for your young person to learn about equine care, build confidence, and connect with nature?

Join us at Random’s Retreat for the Equimotional Young Equestrians Academy! 🌾🐴💚

Through engaging activities with our gentle herd, participants will develop valuable horsemanship skills, learn about pony wellbeing, and boost their emotional resilience in a calm, supportive environment.
