Did someone say pies?

The lunch deal heard you. And it didn’t even charge extra.

Tuesday to Friday, 12–5: two courses for £16. Starter, then a main. And yes, the homemade pies are on that list.

Puff pastry topper. Steak, chicken & mushroom, or cheese & onion. Garden peas, chips or mash. The whole lot sitting inside a £16 lunch, not waving at you from the other side of the menu.

Outside lunch hours they’re still £16.50 on the main menu, Tuesday to Saturday, 12–8. Either way, the pastry doesn’t care what time you turned up.

The autumn switch has properly landed at the Coach. Both fires are back on, the leaves are up, and the place has gone all copper and pumpkin again.

Black pudding, three ways. Because one was never going to be enough.

Crispy breaded black pudding, proper crunch, a bit of heat from the paprika, and enough salad to pretend we’re being sensible.

Have it as a starter on the main menu or 2 course £16 menu, as a share plate or if you’re feeling adventurous, stick it on a burger and call it a day well spent.
