LOVELY COOK WANTED!
Mehalah’s is looking for a part time cook to join our small friendly team. No fancy chef experience is required as full training will be given, but a love of cooking is essential. We are looking for someone who can cover day time hours for 3 days a week. The days are flexible and can be arranged to suit. Hours are approximately 9am - 5pm. Pay is £10 per hour (plus tips)

We are open almost every day from now until after the New Year, (except for just Christmas Day and Boxing Day.) Our arts and crafts table is full of local and unusual present ideas, (like the paintings below, by our cook, Kirsty.) Failing that, we sell Mehalah gift vouchers! Who wouldn’t be delighted with one of those?

We might not sell this size at Mehalah’s, but we do have Richard’s delicious gigas 😋

Look at the size of this! It’s a triploid gigas oyster and it’s around 15 years old! We’re thinking of putting it back on our oyster beds to see how much it grows in the next year 🐚🌊

We have a couple of tables left for Saturday night (27th) and we're really looking forward to Adam Duffill playing for the first time. He's a talented guy. We're really happy with the menu and pleased to be hosting the first Autumn evening at Mehalah's this year. Mehalah's Restaurant, East Mersea is looking for a talented cook! Initially this role is part-time (Tues-Thurs). The Haward Family are well known for serving great seafood and we want someone to join us to continue doing that. You will be responsible for cooking and creating dishes that make Mehalah's reputation so fantastic!
