What is a Mooncake?
Mooncakes are the iconic sweet pastry of the Mid-Autumn Festival, an important celebration in Chinese culture that revolves around family gathering, gratitude, and watching the full harvest moon. Traditionally baked with a tender, golden crust and stamped with intricate patterns, they feature rich fillings such as sweet lotus seed paste and a salted egg yolk in the centre—symbolising the full moon, completeness, and unity. They are traditionally sliced into small wedges and shared with family over a pot of hot Chinese tea.

Last Sunday, we kicked off our Mid-Autumn celebrations by giving away six boxes of traditional mooncakes to our lucky raffle winners during lunch service.

To share this tradition with our community, we've sourced classic, beautifully packaged bakery gift sets for this special giveaway.

If you missed out, we are doing it again this Sunday, 20th September. We have another 6 boxes ready to find new homes!

What is a Mooncake?
