Hello everyone ❤️

I wanted to provide a reassuring update that MEOW Cat Café will not be closing. However, we are taking some very important steps to restructure the business to ensure we can continue providing a safe space for our community and most importantly a safe space for cats who otherwise have no future.

To begin this process there are significant costs involved, and we are reaching out for support to help us through this next chapter.

Across Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, there are over 54,000 of you following our journey. If every person could spare just £1 it would make an incredible difference and help secure the future of the café and the cats we care for.

I also feel it’s important to address something that comes up frequently. We have already applied to become a registered charity; however, due to significant delays, applications are currently facing an estimated 22-week wait before they are even reviewed, and unfortunately ours keeps being pushed further back in the queue.

I’m really sorry but we’ve had a medical emergency at home which means we are unable to open today. This is the absolute last thing I want to do but I have no other choice as there’s no cover today. Bookings will be emailed shortly, I’m so so sorry

Like most small businesses at the moment we are facing significant challenges and changes at the moment.

This means I’ve been having some difficult, frank and raw conversations over the past few weeks and I’ve fallen behind with some messages and emails, so apologies in advance if you’re still waiting for me to get back to you.

I’m currently taking professional advice and exploring options to try and secure the future of the cafe and cats.

Nothing changes for visitors at this moment, and if it were to I would update everyone.

I’ve always been really honest about the struggles that I face running this place, so I guess it’s just more of an update of where I am and what I’ve been doing. For me personally there’s a lot of uncertainty, and when there’s uncertainty it quickly spirals and I end up backing away into a corner to retreat. I’m really trying my best not to, so I appreciate everyone’s patience while I try work out where I’m going

Might be a bit niche but do you ever get a sense of impending doom the day before your birthday? I get the same on New Year’s Eve 😦 Going into the final year of my 20s and I feel like there such a huge pressure to do more and be more. I have three beautiful children, I’m a fully fledged adult but it’s like my brain is detached from being able to be proud or feel worthy of it.. odd brain thoughts
