The New Inn Colchester

People often ask why the pub’s sign is a bomb, but did you know the only boozer in Colchester during WW2 to be blown up by a German bomber was the New Inn?

Took a direct hit in a raid that killed 8 people in 1942. The pub re-opened in 1945.

How ironic it survived the n***s but is now under more threat of destruction from our own government’s economic policies 80 years later.

Part of Colchester’s rich historical past - use it or lose it.

Proper old fashioned pub with emphasis on ever-changing range of real ales, in heart of Colchester City centre, just 5 mins walk from the shops and train station. Free to hire function room and beer garden.
