After a successful soft reopening last week, we’re officially ready to welcome everyone back through our doors! 🙌

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing customers and community for all the messages, support and patience you’ve shown us during our closure. We’ve genuinely appreciated every bit of it.

The kitchen is fired up, the team is back together, and we’re ready to do what we love again… cook, serve and welcome you all back to Coggeshall Spice! 🍛🔥

We’ve noticed there have now been several news articles shared across Essex about our temporary closure.

If we’re honest, these aren’t the sort of headlines we’d hoped to see. We weren’t contacted beforehand or given the opportunity to provide any input and what is, in reality, a temporary closure for essential electrical works has ended up being reported in a way that can feel a little misleading.

As many of you know, we’re based in a Grade II listed building, so even relatively straightforward electrical works require extra care, permissions, and time. We’re simply getting everything completed properly so we can reopen as soon as possible.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s commented, shared kind words, and helped reassure others. Your support has genuinely meant so much to us, and we’re incredibly grateful to have such a supportive community behind us.

And on a lighter note… let’s just hope they remember to share the articles when we’re reopening too! 😉🎉

The news has certainly spread!

We’re so grateful to everyone who has shared the news of our temporary closure and more importantly, helped reassure others, as some of the wording in the recent articles are a little misleading. We truly appreciate everyone who’s taken the time to support us with kind messages and comments.

Our team is working hard behind the scenes to complete the essential electrical works and get everything ready for reopening. Being in a Grade II listed building means these things can take a little longer, but fingers crossed we won’t be closed for too long.

In the meantime, you can still enjoy all your Coggeshall Spice favourites at our sister restaurant, Kelvedon Spice, CO5 9AA.

Thank you again for all your support. Every message, share and visit means the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you back through our doors very soon. 💙

Due to electrical issues, Coggeshall Spice will be temporarily closed until further notice.

As we operate from a Grade II listed building, the necessary works require specialist attention and we are unable to reopen until they have been completed.

All existing bookings will be honoured at our sister restaurant, Kelvedon Spice and our team will be in touch with anyone affected.

We will keep you updated on our social media channels and let you know as soon as we have a reopening date.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding and continued support.
