Yup.
Sold so much sourdough over the weekend. Lots of conversations on markets, at events and (surprisingly) in the street about sourdough. People are genuinely interested in the health benefits. Quite a few people have said they can eat sourdough more readily than other breads. There seems to be something in the long fermentation process that makes the bread easier to digest. Of course, all real bread, made without unnecessary additives and preservatives, will be better for you. You know what's in there. The absence of bakers yeast in sourdough is also a factor. Some folks have an intolerance of that too.
All I can say is we make sourdough six days a week in the heart of Cockermouth's historic market place. If you want to try it, come and give it a go.
