Next Region of our tour is...
TOSCANA

🖐🖐🖐Hands up who already know what I am going to talk about after a visit to Firenze!

Well, if you have been, you already know there is much more to Tuscany.

🗣 🔤 For once, it was the birthplace of Modern Italian - the Italian language was derived from the Tuscan dialect, influenced by authors like Dante Alighieri.

🤥 The author of The Adventures of Pinocchio, Carlo Collodi, was born in Florence.

🍨 Gelato was invented in Florence, but Toscana is also home to so many other culinary delights, such as beautiful wines like Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino and delicious Extra Virgin Olive Oils, Cheese and Cured Meats.

🍕 For this special occasion, we have chosen the Finocchiona Salame, which apparently originated in the Middle Ages, when Fennels Seeds were used instead of peppers to flavour the meat as a cheaper option.
We are obsessed with it and hope you will like it as much as we do!

The blooming daffodils are a wonderful reminder that summer is approaching.
To prepare for our busiest season, we will be taking a short break to rest and recharge.

We will be closed for the next two weeks and will reopen on Friday, March 20th.

Next Region of our tour is...
EMILIA ROMAGNA

The most important thing you should know about Emilia Romagna is that is where yours truly are from - and if that doesn't make it a reason to go visit, I really don't know what should?! 🤨🤭

In addition to that, it's also home to Bologna, the world's oldest University and there is lots of history and lovely architecture to discover, but if I had to sum it up in a few words, I would probably go with food and motors - who hasn't heard about Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati or Parma Ham, Balsamic Vinegar, Parmesan Cheese, Tortellini, Lasagne, Ragu alla Bolognese and so on...?

Especially since this was so close to us, choosing a special hasn't been easy, but we finally came to a decision which we hope you will also enjoy:

Regretfully, this weekend we will not be able be part of the Taste of Christmas.

...This might or might not be because we want to be able to enjoy it from the visitor perspective... 🥸😎

But if you fancy a pizza or two, not to worry as we will be open as usual Friday and Saturday for dine in and takeaways, 6-10pm!

Remember Market Place will be closed for traffic on Saturday, but Kirkgate and St Helens Street will be open.

Have you heard?? Starting from tonight, you can order our pizzas from Crooked River Brewing Co. Taproom in Cockermouth. How does it work? When you are there enjoying a beer... or two... (I would definitely go for the tasting paddle!) just let their staff know what you would like to eat and they will coordinate with us and let you know when they will be ready to come and collect 🍕🍻👍
