Letโs Clear the Air: The 6:30 PM Parking Truth ๐๐ฝ๏ธ
We need to talk about a major change affecting everyone who visits usโand clear up some massive confusion happening in our comment section.
The Facts:
North Lanarkshire Council traffic wardens are now patrolling until 6:30 PM, shifting heavily from the previous 3:30 PM cutoff. For a business like ours that thrives on welcoming you for early dinners, happy hours, and family meals, this hurts. It directly impacts our local high street, our independent staff, and our guests who just want to support a local venue without watching the clock.
To the comment section:
We've noticed a few "keyboard warriors" jumping to defend the wardens, claiming we are attacking people just doing their jobs. If you read our previous post fully, you'd know that isn't the case! We have zero issue with individuals doing their day job.
Our issue is entirely with the policy decision made by North Lanarkshire Council. Extending enforcement straight into peak dining hours makes it harder for people to support local businesses when they need it most.
Where to direct your keyboard energy:
If you want to support or complain about local parking infrastructure, target the right peopleโnot our staff or our comment section. Letโs take the debate off our timeline and send it straight to the policy decision-makers who actually have the power to protect our high street:
๐ฉ Contact North Lanarkshire Council directly to voice your concerns about high street accessibility.
๐ฉ Reach out to our local MSP, Fulton MacGregor MSP for Coatbridge & Chryston, whose office is always open to hearing from constituents regarding local infrastructure and business impacts.
Our doors are open, the kitchen is always hot, and we're ready for a great night. Just make sure to double-check the street until 6:30 PM! ๐๐ป
