If you’ve visited us at Grounds, you might already know that we’re lucky enough to have the wonderful Century Theatre right next door! ☕️🎭

So, myself and Jordi had a little wander over and caught up with Charlie, the theatre’s Lead Technician, who’s giving us a little insight into this fantastic local gem. 👀

But this is only the beginning… 👀

Coming soon, we’ll be taking you on a proper walk around the Century Theatre, showing you more of the spaces, the history and everything that goes on behind the scenes! 🎭✨

✨ A day of history, family fun & exploring! ✨

📅 Sunday 20th September

Come and join us as we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the closure of Snibston Colliery with a special FREE open day for the whole family! 🖤⛏️

There’s plenty to see and do throughout the day, including the chance to experience the historic Snibston Colliery’s popular ‘A Coal Miner’s Story’ — tickets can be booked via Eventbrite 🎟️

You can also join one of the FREE guided walks around the colliery site, discovering the fascinating history and stories of Snibston along the way. 🚶‍♀️⛏️

And it’s not just about history! Bring the whole family and enjoy the children’s adventure playground, nature walks and mountain bike trail 🌳🚲

And of course… no visit would be complete without a pit stop at Grounds Café! ☕🍰

Come along, explore, learn something new, enjoy the great outdoors and grab yourself some excellent refreshments along the way. 💚

🧻🚨 BLUE ROLL HACK ALERT 🚨🧻

Okay… who else has spent far too long wrestling with the cardboard tube inside a blue roll?! 😂🙋‍♀️

Well, we’ve discovered the secret… STEAM! ♨️

Just a little bit of steam on the inner cardboard bit and BOOM 💥 — it comes out so much easier and your blue roll is ready to go straight into the dispenser. 🙌

Why did nobody tell us this sooner?! 😂

Remember when we had our sofas and chairs professionally cleaned just a couple of weeks ago by the amazing Harry? 🧼✨

Well… he’s coming back! 👀

Next week, it’s time for our café floor to get some TLC🧽✨ We already know it’s going to look so much brighter, fresher and cleaner — we honestly can’t wait to see the results! 😍

In fact… you might want to bring your sunglasses next time you visit because that floor is going to be SPARKLING! 😎😂✨
