The day has arrived!! 🐑 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

Our annual Purslow Speed Shear is today. We know it looks a little damp out there but we've got you covered....all you have to do is come along and enjoy yourselves!

We have an outside bar and BBQ which are card only, to help reduce the queues, but we are certainly happy to accept cash in the pub so feel free to bring that along too!

We will also be collecting for the Lingen Cancer Trust, in memory of Al Jones, so please dig deep, bring your change and let's make this a record breaking charity event.

Pub open's at 2pm today so come along anytime for a few warm up drinks....We really look forward to welcoming you, it's going to be a baa-rilliant day!

It's nearly Saturday, so here are a few finer details - our bar opens at 2pm and the BBQ and shearing around 4.30pm.

And we can't deny that after all that lovely sunshine, this rain has got us all in a bit of a tizz...But never fear, we've got a massive tent on its way to keep everyone (and the sheep of course!) nice and dry for the big day.

A little rain isn't going to stop us having a wonderful time and supporting this great charity.

It's getting even closer! Our 2026 Speed Shearing event is this Saturday!

💚 🐑 We are looking for volunteers to help on the day, so if you fancy having some fun and helping in any way, the shearers would really appreciate your support!

It's all for a really good cause and a very important charity - Lingen Cancer Fund - so do please contact us if you'd like to help at all...

Well what a beautiful, sunny week we have had 🔆 it's a little fresher today....some might say it's perfect breakfast weather!

As usual we are serving breakfast and brunch this morning and every Friday - 10.30am until 1.30pm 😃

Oh, and did I mention free coffee with every breakfast + a refill ☕️

And cake!!
