Hi from the Brown cow Clitheore x we open at 2pm

Morning,

This Friday I’ll be heading over to Clitheroe, a historic market town well known for its imposing castle, one of the smallest Norman keeps in England, and its location at the heart of the Ribble Valley.

I’ll be exploring what the town has to offer, taking in a mix of micropubs, breweries and pubs along the way.

If I’m planning to pop in and visit you, I’d really appreciate a share of this post — and if you see me out and about, feel free to come and say hello!

Wow Christmas done, New year to come.... Honestly so grateful at how busy we have been over this festive period. Thank you to all the Brown cow staff we honestly appreciate how hard you all work. Thank you to our amazing customers old and new.

NOTICE
Dear customers
Due to staffing issues (lack of)
We are still unable to open at full capacity, during the weekend. We will have an open door on Friday but will slightly limit numbers. Entrance will be restricted with a sign stating we are at full capacity. Saturdays we will still be closing at 7pm. Unless we are holding a private event. We are striving to build up staff numbers as soon as possible. If you or anyone you know is looking for fun, fast paced weekend work please drop in with your info. We would like 4 new members so we can alternate shifts. You must be hard working, bubbly and a good team member. We look forward to bringing the Brown cow back especially the coweoke.

Just a note to anybody living in Clitheroe who is selfishly doing what they want going peoples houses, letting there lovely teenagers hang around in groups, because it doesn't affect them. Well being a selfish prick is not an effective protection from Covid 19. And my actual point is that I wanted to share with you the news that a very close friend (no names ) who lives in clitheroe is now in the intensive care ward of blackburn testing positive for covid 19. So there you go its here in our little town right here on your doorsteps. On the air where you set up picnics or on the corner where your lovely kids hang out in groups. In the air on their hands, then on your door handle in your house on your younger kids. On the mates that popped round,then on to their mums, dads, grandmas and grandads. If this doesn't stop and make you think then I really think we should all give up, because what's the point it only takes one it only takes you oh and the people you love.

Well that's it then ..we are so sad to close our lovely pub, but the most important thing is that you are all safe and able to come back when all this is done. We send you all our love and cant wait to spend time with you all again. Please keep safe and well the sooner we sort this virus the sooner we will be back together xx
