Del Oso (left)
PERU EL OSO GEISHA
Blood Orange, Sweet Apple & Jasmine
Another wonderful coffee from the El Oso project. Grown by Cooperativa Agraria Frontera San Ignacio (COOPAFSI)
This is habitat for the endangered spectacled bear & the project was created to protect it.
Organically grown at altitudes of up to 1890m & also certified fairtrade, this is our very first Geisha coffee. Geisha is a much prized varietal that originated in the Gori Gesha forest in Ethiopia and now thrives in South & Central America. Geisha is famed for it's exceptionally aromatic citrus & floral notes. Best suited to cafetiere, filter & Aeropress brewing & is best served black.
PERU LOS AMIGOS DEL OSO
Nutty, Cranberry & Orange Marmalade
Los Amigos del Oso means 'The friends of the Bear'. The El Oso project was set up to help conserve forests in San Iganacio, where spectacled bears & other native animals face huge pressures and are in danger of extinction.
Through both organic farming methods & fairtrade certification the project tries to encourage a culture of the protection of wildlife.
Suitable for all brewing methods it produces a wonderfully complex cup.
It's nice having bears about the coffee house.
Our Blackburn shop's window art Peaberry Bear, the coffee drinking cousin of Paddington.
Wherever you wander, wherever you roam, if you are kind & polite the world will be right, especially with a coffee in your hand or under your hat!
