What’s your favourite time of year to visit The Olive Branch?

Summer has a strong case. The gardens are looking lovely, we’re serving Fruits de Mer and lighter seasonal dishes, the paddock is full of vegetables and there are some great English wines being poured.

Here’s a sample Lunch for Less menu, with plenty of ingredients from the paddock.

Then again, those cosy fireside meals are pretty good too.

The pub plus Beech House employ 30 people in total.

We have gardeners to look after the paddock. We have a pot wash team, cleaners, chefs and front-of-house staff.

Someone is here at the pub from seven in the morning until two the next morning. It takes a full team to make each day happen! 💪

"Our vision was to create somewhere we wanted to go. It was as simple as that.

Another pick from our list for English Wine Week. 🥂

Rathfinny Rosé is from Alfriston, Sussex – chilled, elegant and well suited to this weather.

It goes nicely with our summer salad, but it’s just as good for a cool glass on the terrace.

Decanter awarded Rathfinny Rosé 91 points, saying: “The onion pink colour of the sparkling rosé came from blending a dash of French oak-aged Pinot Noir. Creamy perfume of ripe peach, red cherry and stewed strawberry... Spiced nuts linger until the finish.”
