A little bit of different review today as Dad , Gemma and myself ventured out Holden Antique centre and cafe near Rossendale to meet a couple of our very loyal customers and also friends to have a catch up have and a bite to eat . Lovely ex church with a large antique sale room with different sellers . We all decided on different meals : dad had scrambled egg and smoked salmon, Gemma had a Caesar salad wrap with chips, Fred had a cheese and onion panini and soup , Sheila had a tuna mayo sandwich and soup and I had my usual Caesar salad all washed down with various drinks , we resisted the cakes , the bill was £76 which was a tad expensive but when I found out they had actually moved the church brick by brick some years ago I wasn’t really surprised!! 😱

Another lunch date with Dad , this time to the frilly pig bistro in Cleveleys, we both decided to have the frilly pig beef and cheese melt with salad , washed down with 2 teas in china cups . The bill was 33.60 which we thought was a bit heavy for the size of the food ie 13.80 for the sandwich, tea good at £3 ok ,just a little underwhelming, friendly service tho and nice surroundings, any more suggestions are very welcome 😁

Another lunch out with dad , a beautiful day at light ash farm , Dad decided on tuna mayo and cheese ciabatta with fries and I had a farmers platter washed down with tea and coffee , around £35 , we had a couple of cakes to go too 🤣😁 unfortunately they were extra lol

Another deli day out with Dad, with the change in weather we decided to stay local and went to the tractor shed at farmer Parrs .Dad chose the soup and sandwich combo ( the soup was cockaleekie which dad said was excellent) and a beef sandwich on brown , have a guess what i had ! Yes chicken and bacon ceaser salad 🤣with a portion of fries , washed down with pots of tea . We enjoyed all the food and it was very quick service considering it was very busy , had a quick chat with farmer Parr himself, he seemed very happy it was busy 😃highly recommend at £28 good value too .

Another deli day out with dad , this time we tried wyreside fisheries (pheasants wood fisheries cafe )recommended by Christine.
after a lovely drive to a beautiful spot a real hidden gem of a cafe , dad decided on a jacket potato with chilli and cheese and I went for the Caesar salad ( I seem to be addicted) washed down with tea and a cappuccino as well as a side order of garlic bread. It came to £30 exactly which was really good and prompt service too , was tempted to have beer but behaved myself . Had a nice walk with Alaska around the carp lake too 😃@

Another deli lunch out with dad, this time to woody’s cafe ( very apt) which is in the koi pool garden centre on mains lane , very busy considering the lack of passing trade now , dad decided on the ham , cheese and mustard mayo toastie and I had the chicken and bacon club , both were really good. Very reasonable prices as well, just over £23 with drinks included. If anyone has any suggestions for our lunchtime treats out please let us know 😁

Another lunch day with dad , this time in Poulton at Truly kitchen and tea room . Dad decided on the Brie and cranberry salad and I had a prawn salad washed down with a latte and a cappuccino, excellent service and lovely setting in the mews by the church, Poulton was very busy and looked great . Free parking helps , unlike Cleveleys, oh that’s right the council offices are in Poulton 😂

Another sunny day , having lunch out with dad and Alaska , we decided on a short run out to Garstang , to The Farmers Arms . We decided on a deli platter , which we shared and both said it was one of the best we’ve had ! More than enough for 2 washed down with a lager shandy and 0% cider , really good value at just over £25 😁

Another deli lunch day with dad , this time we stayed local and went to illy’s in Cleveleys, very busy and popular, we both decided on the Caesar salad washed down with a cappuccino and a green tea , very tasty and reasonably priced 😁
