Good evening ... if you didn't already know, from tomorrow it's officially National Cask Ale Week!!! A week to enjoy b**r in it's tastiest and most traditional form. However, it's not just about milds and bitters, there's a world of incredible varieties to experience... so this weekend we'll have a particularly delicious and eclectic range for you to choose from...

ON TAP THIS WEEK:

BUNNY HOP - Mandarina Pale Ale (3.4% ABV)
A thirst-quenching pale ale brewed with Bavarian Mandarina hops for a wonderful orange hit and a aroma of tangerine and lime.

THE HAWKER - Suffolk Porter (4.8% ABV)
A rich, dark and warming porter brewed with roasted barley, crystal and chocolate malts.

CLARE SKIES - Suffolk Pale Ale (4.2% ABV)
A pale amber ale with a delicate fruity aroma. Amarillo and Cascade hops deliver a refreshing splash of citrus with floral notes.

1525 - Lavenham Ale - (4.0% ABV)
A traditional chestnut-red ale brewed with English hops and malts. Smooth, classic and easy drinking.

FLAMINGO BLUSH - Peach Pale Ale (4.2% ABV)
A ruby pale ale brewed with crystal malt and torrified wheat then fermented with fresh peach juice for a deliciously fruity finish!

L'ABBAYE ROUGE - Belgian Red Ale (5.2% ABV)
A satisfying Flemish style red ale brewed with wheat and barley malts then fermented with Belgian abbey yeast for fruity flavours and spicy notes.

All brewed by us, served at our Tap Room bar, open every Friday 12-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-6pm.

It's a fantastic experience with authentic food and drink from 16 countries, live cooking demonstrations, farmers' market on Angel Hill and family entertainment, games, children's magic workshops, face painting, balloon modelling..... lots to do basically!!! And what's more... IT'S FREE!!! 😁

🍺 The brewers from Roughacre Brewery will be there to talk about their b**rs, and how they are made

Happy national relaxation day ! The perfect excuse to take it easy and enjoy the countryside... perhaps with a pint or two relaxing outside at the taproom? Just a suggestion... 😎

On Sunday 23rd August we have our next Build-A-Beer Workshop and we still have a few places left... it runs from 1 to 3pm and includes a brewery tour, hosted b**r tasting, grazing plates and your chance to design and name your very own b**r!

The winning team (or individual) will have their b**r concept brewed by us then - a few weeks later - everyone who took part gets a complimentary bottle of the finished product... all for £15 per person! It looks like the weather will be lovely and sunny this weekend and also not as bonkers crazy hot as it has been for the past few weeks! 🥵 ...so why not head on up the hill and enjoy a refreshing pint or glass of vino in the sunshine at the bar with the best possible views of the Stour valley!?

Calling all thirsty and friends... we have a couple of new ones on this sunny weekend to tantalise those taste buds!

VAMPIRE - Cherry Saison Sour (4.4% ABV) - a blood red saison sour brewed with pilsner malt, Czech hops and double fermented with fresh cherry juice. We use Belgian saison yeast and wild yeast strains to deliver a refreshing bite with tart, mouthwatering flavours.

BUNNY HOP - Mandarina Pale Ale (3.4% ABV) - a refreshing and thirst-quenching session pale ale brewed with Aussie Summer and Bavarian Mandarina hops for a wonderful orange citrus hit and a distinct aroma of tangerine and lime.

To all our customers and who turned up yesterday evening, please accept our sincerest apologies for the early closing of the tap room and café. We had a staff shortage due to illness and it wasn't possible to continue to stay open for the evening session. So sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this caused.

However, we're very pleased to say that we will be resuming operations as normal today and opening from midday to 6pm! We'll have a fine selection of ales on including...
