🏉💙 SUPPORTING A LOCAL STAR 💙🏉

We recently had the pleasure of meeting local teenager Faryn Bissessur, who has an incredibly exciting future ahead of her.

After years of hard work, dedication and commitment to rugby, Faryn has been offered a place at Oaklands College as part of the Saracens Academy pathway, while also studying towards her Level 2 plumbing qualification. She has also been invited to trial for the England Under-18 Player Development Group — an amazing achievement!

When Faryn’s family contacted us to tell us about her journey, we wanted to do something practical to help. With the travelling involved between home, college and rugby training, The Golden Fillet has supported Faryn by paying for her CBT and providing her with a new crash helmet, helping her gain a little more independence and making those journeys easier.

We met with Faryn on Saturday to give her the helmet, and we can honestly say what a remarkable young lady she is. She is focused, determined, polite and clearly has a huge future ahead of her.

She has now enjoyed her first week at college, and this is only the beginning of what we hope will be an incredible journey.

We’ll be following Faryn’s progress closely and cheering her on every step of the way. We would also love to encourage other local people and businesses to support her journey if they are able to — every little bit of support can make a real difference.
