An ask for Daily Bread 🍞
Can you help us replace our two broken dishwashers?

Big thanks to Wren (8) who made this funky little dishwasher for us (pictured) - it’s the best one we’ve got at the moment! Cleanliness is next to Godliness and for the past few months here in Cirencester that’s meant washing everything by hand. We were given these two pieces of equipment when we opened, and we’ve serviced them & put them through their paces but they are now well out of warrantee and beyond repair. We are in a tight, bubbly spot. Our wonderful team have been scrubbing everything by hand but our hands are more than wrinkly at this point, & the extra hours are stretching us thin. We’d love to put that energy back into what we do best: welcoming our community around the table.

We need to raise funds to purchase a reliable commercial dishwasher and glass washer to keep our busy kitchen humming.

Can you help us keep our hands cooking and serving? Contact Kirsty [email protected] or reach us in any way that suits you if you can help - we’ll gladly name the equipment after you if thats an incentive!

We’re trying something new this Monday 🍳

Because of planned water works by Thames Water this coming Monday (27th), we’ll be running a slightly different service.

The café will be open from 9:30am for coffee and cake, and we’ll be closing at 2:30pm.

Instead of our usual full lunch service, we’ll be serving:

Brunch at The Long Table
11:30am–1pm

Organic pork sausage, crispy potatoes, chestnut mushrooms, roast tomatoes and Cacklebean egg with Billowing Loaf organic sourdough, Berkeley Farm organic butter and homemade BBQ ketchup.

As always, it’s pay as you can - because everyone should be able to access great food and have someone to eat it with.

This might just be the start of something we do more often on Mondays…

Amazing things happen when we eat together!
