SMALL INCONVENIENCES

Anthony Bourdain once said
if you’re too lazy to p*el garlic,
you don’t deserve to eat it,
which I take to mean:
In a pre-minced world,
where everyone searches
for meaning in mediocrity,
where we’re too quick to dismiss
the quiet scrape of a knife,
the hiss of cloves in hot butter,
a sliver of time,
golden at the edges,
please bother with an existence.
that is slow-simmered, sticky fingered
full of the big flavours
And small inconveniences
that make up a life.
Ohh the inconveniences in every day can be annoying AF, right?!
-when you get comfy in bed and then suddenly need a p*e
– poor connection signals, when your device shows 5G or full Wi-Fi connection.
– When you forget an app password, go to reset it, and then get told that you new password can’t be the same as your old password.
– hitting every single mo*********ng red light when you are in a rush.
– awkward small talk with people you really have no connection or interest in
– when your phone dies and you have to wait, which seems like the longest five minutes of your life for it to boot back up.
I have a few more that can be added, as I’m sure you have your own??
Sometimes it seems that everybody out there wants to contribute to us having a real s**t day?!
Actually, accepting reality with perspective, that small problems will happen to everyone, every day and asking are they really important enough to get stressed about??
Letting go of control and need to fight against situations where we have no power over, is a good way to ensure we flow forward in life with peace, calm and pure joy!! 💥💥

Pure joy actually, with lots of travels for work and leisure.
I have collaborated with the best people and got to hang out in the company of some really cool humans! 💯👌🏼
