Chick development milestones after hatching

-2 weeks: Rapid growth, feathers replace the down.
-4 weeks: Baby feathers are being replaced by adult feathers, so they look a bit tatty. Pecking order games begin.
-6 weeks: Should have full feathers. Should be pretty independent and exploring their environment, move to new area if they are cramped.
-8 weeks: Almost adult, pecking order should be established now.
