Late last night came the heartbreaking news that Derran “Derry” Brownson had passed away.

We feel incredibly lucky to have some very special memories of Derry here at The Golden Lion. Last summer, having EMF play here in Cinderford was something pretty incredible in itself — a day we’ll never forget. But what made it even more special was knowing Derry beyond the stage, from Double View school days 🧡🩵💚

After Cindyfest, Derry became a familiar face here, regularly joining us for Sunday lunch with his lovely family, always a pleasure to see them 🧡🩵💚

It’s hard to believe that someone who was sitting amongst us, sharing laughs & making memories just a short time ago is no longer here.

Our thoughts & deepest condolences are with Derry’s family, friends, bandmates & everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Thank you for the music, the memories & for you & EMF becoming part of our Golden Lion family.

Derry will always be in our thoughts.
