Hello everyone, we hope you’ve all kept well over the winter months and are enjoying the first signs of spring 🐣

This year The Wavecrest Cafe begins its 20th year since we first took it on. The story here goes back much further though, to around the 1950s, when Mrs Williams was well known for her cherry pie, something people still talk about to this day here in Church Bay.

At the heart of our chapter has always been Mum. Her love of hospitality, good food and welcoming people through the door has shaped everything we do. Over the years she’s been supported by family, wonderful friends, and so many loyal customers who’ve become part of the story.

Twenty years of washing that same scone cutter she’s always had, busy summers and countless panad's shared across the counter, all built on her passion for creating a place where people feel welcome.

Today, on Mother’s Day, it felt right to give a little nod to the Penster, and also to recognise not just our own mum, but everyone who nurtures, supports and looks after others in their own way. We know the day can mean different things for different people, so we’re simply sending a bit of the good stuff to everyone 💛

We're looking forward to welcoming you all back when we open on Good Friday. April 3rd.

Over the summer, our amazing customers helped us raise money for the Anglesey Military Veterans’ Hub — a brilliant local facility at RAF Valley supporting veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces across Anglesey and North Wales.

If you’re free this Friday evening, the Veterans’ Hub team are holding a fundraising Remembrance concert at the Ucheldre Centre.
