Earl of Portsmouth

Unfortunately, due to a staffing shortage and a prior event to cater for, we will be unable to open for Sunday lunch tomorrow (4th Oct). Apologies for any inconvenience. We will be offering our roasts for just £12.50 from next week if pre-booked a minimum of 24hrs in advance (for a limited time only) so we hope to see you soon. Many thanks 😊

Apologies for the short notice, but due to unforeseen circumstances we will unfortunately be unable to open this evening and more than likely tomorrow as well. Sorry for any inconvenience. Kind regards, Ian & Justine

Just a polite reminder to confirm that we have made the tough decision to close our doors on a Wednesday for the foreseeable future. This was a difficult decision to make and has been based on a number of factors, namely the landlord's new job and unpredictable trading patterns. We continue to work hard behind the scenes to keep the pub going for the village and thank those who have shown empathy and support for our position. Our other days remain the same, for the time being. We hope to welcome you soon.

Apologies for any confusion or inconvenience but it would appear our opening times posted on Monday have either not posted correctly or have disappeared completely. Once again, here are opening hours for this week. Many Thanks, Ian & Justine

Well that's a wrap on the weekend and we are finally back and squared away. We had the privilege of providing the bar at Chawleigh Fair and loved every minute! Lots of hard work before, during and after the event but we'd definitely do it all over again. It was a shame about the weather but still well attended. Thank you to all who came and to those who helped make the day happen for us ( Steve Godly Stuart Gibson Sam Easton Maddy Godly Cate Godly Anne Cadle Richard Wilmott ), your help is very much appreciated. A fantastic day all round, perfectly run events and a village generously pulling together. Everyone involved should be truly proud of their efforts 👏🏆🏅
