❤️ A Heartfelt Announcement from The Rising Sun ❤️
It is with a mixture of sadness, gratitude and pride that we announce The Rising Sun will be ceasing trading on 1st January 2027.
This has not been an easy decision for us to make, but with our increasingly busy lives, family life, other commitments an the growing pressure of the industry, we have come to realise that the time has come for us to close this chapter.
We are unsure of what’s next for the pub but we will be sure to keep you all posted on any future developments we know about .
When we first took on The Rising Sun, our hope was to create more than just a pub. We wanted to create a warm, welcoming place where people could come together, friendships could be made, stories could be shared and our wonderful little community could feel at home.
Looking back, we are incredibly proud to say that we feel we have achieved just that. ❤️
From the familiar faces popping in for a pint, to the laughter-filled quiz nights, live music, celebrations and countless conversations over the bar, it has been an absolute pleasure to see The Rising Sun become such a lovely social hub for our village.
But none of this would have been possible without YOU.
To our wonderful locals, loyal customers, friends and everyone who has walked through our doors and supported us along the way — thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness, loyalty and continued support have meant more to us than you will ever know.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to our fantastic team, past and present, who have helped make The Rising Sun the special place it has become.
Although we are sad to be saying goodbye, we will walk away with so many happy memories, wonderful friendships and an enormous sense of pride in what we have created together.
We still have a little time left, and we fully intend to make the most of it! We hope you'll continue to join us for a drink, a laugh and a few more memories before we close our doors.
Thank you for making The Rising Sun so much more than just a pub. It's been a real privilege to be part of this wonderful community. ❤️
