We were delighted to attend the VIP preview of the prestigious Nightingale House Ellesmere National Art Exhibition 2026 at Ellesmere College on 27th May, where eight of our regular Caffi Wylfa exhibitors were among the many talented artists invited to display their work: Jane Brookshaw, Liz Carding, Rosie Davies, Louise Diggle, Irene Jones, Lesley Jones, Tricia Lea and Pauline Preston. This oil on canvas, "Quiet Pool" by Rosie Davies is just one of almost 200 pictures and sculptures on display and available for sale until 30th May. Do go and feast your eyes on this amazing collection of masterpieces by local artists!

Caffi Wylfa is looking for an experienced Cook to Order / Kitchen Lead to join our team! 🍳☕
We’re looking for somebody who can confidently work in a busy cook-to-order kitchen and help oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen operation.
✅ Experience in a fast-paced kitchen essential
✅ Supervisory/management experience preferred
✅ Strong standards of cleanliness & organisation
✅ Calm under pressure and able to lead by example
✅ Front of house/customer service experience would be a bonus
✅ Level 3 Food Hygiene preferred (training can be provided for the right person)

Huge news for Glyn Wylfa Ltd… we are absolutely delighted to share that we have been named Winner – Community Category (Wales & South West) at the HSBC UK & FSB Small Business Growth Awards. 🏆

I had the honour of attending the awards ceremony in Bristol to accept the award on behalf of the company, and it was a genuinely proud moment for us all.

To be recognised in such strong company is incredible and reflects the hard work, commitment and passion shown every day by our team across both Glyn Wylfa Ltd and Caffi Wylfa. From our café staff, office tenants, directors and volunteers, to everyone working behind the scenes – this award belongs to all of you.

Ellesmere Art Exhibition 2026🎨

🌼 Something lovely happening at Caffi Wylfa this Bank Holiday Monday! 🌼
We’re delighted to be hosting the brilliant Friends of Chirk Station tomorrow (Easter Monday, 10am–3pm), who will be setting up a fundraising stall right here at the café.
If you’ve ever arrived at Chirk railway station and admired how tidy, colourful, and well cared for it is—you’ve got these fantastic volunteers to thank 👏
They’ll have a selection of potted plants 🪴 and preloved items 👕 for sale, with all proceeds going towards keeping the station looking its best for everyone in the community.
So why not pop down, grab a coffee (and maybe a slice of cake… go on, it’s a Bank Holiday 😄), and show them a bit of support.

And honestly… we’re feeling it today!
After what feels like months of rain, grey skies and soggy everything… the sunshine has finally shown up — and so has the love ☀️💕
We love our customers.
