As always, the Mop Fair will be in town on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September. We are traditionally very quiet during the fair, and we usually use this weekend as an opportunity to close on the Saturday and Sunday and get some much-needed maintenance done around The Coffee Bean. This year, we will still be following our usual plan and will be OPEN as normal on Friday 25th September, but CLOSED on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September.

Some of you lovely lot pop your heads in to cheer us on, offer a hand, or even bring us emergency supplies and biscuits 😂💚 Unlike previous years though, you won’t find us in the shop with paintbrushes and DIY supplies!

Instead, Jason and I are going to use this opportunity to take a few days away.

As some of you already know, a few weeks ago we sadly had to say goodbye to our precious boy, Pickle. He had been part of our lives for almost 12 years and, our world revolved around him and his brothers and sister. Although not human, he was our baby & first born, and we are adjusting to life without him.

We really want to thank everyone who has sent us messages, well wishes and condolences, and for your understanding ❤️‍🩹

So we’re taking the opportunity for a much needed family break.

I did publish closure dates back from August until New year in an earlier post. So for any future closures around December and Christmas please check that out.

Due to the high temperatures forecast for today, we’ll be closing at midday.

Our kitchen team are quite literally melting in this heat, and with the hot weather making us much much quieter than usual, it also helps us keep our costs under control.
