A walk with a little history, and a pub at the end of it!

Did you know that one of Wiltshire’s most fascinating historic walks starts right here at The Langley Tap?

Our Maud Heath’s Causeway Walk is an easy 2-mile circular route through the beautiful countryside around Langley Burrell, following part of the historic causeway built thanks to Maud Heath’s 15th-century bequest.

There’s a little bit of history, a little bit of countryside and plenty of fresh air, before you head back to the Tap for a well-earned lunch, a drink and a warm welcome.

We’re turning our regular pub quizzes into a Sunday evening 12-week Inn The Sticks Quiz League, with teams from all five pubs competing for points, prizes and the ultimate title of ITS Quiz Champions.

Will your Inn The Sticks village pub be the brainiest of the bunch?

So get your team together, brush up on your general knowledge and prepare for some serious inter-pub rivalry.

Something new is coming to Inn The Sticks…

Mark and Mark are excited to introduce The Food Society, a new series of food-led events created for those who believe the best evenings always begin around the table.

Each event will take place at a different pub across our collection, giving our chefs the chance to push boundaries, cook creatively and share the dishes, flavours and stories that inspire them. Think elevated tasting menus, fire-led feasts, dishes discovered on travels, family recipes worth passing down and menus inspired by memorable moments in food history.

Expect exceptional seasonal ingredients, great drinks, relaxed hospitality and experiences designed for people who genuinely love to eat well.

Along the way, we’ll also be hosting w**e tastings, unexpected pairings, cheese-led evenings and collaborations with guest chefs who know a thing or two about memorable food.

The Food Society. Good food. Good people. No ordinary night at the pub.

And with no time to waste, the first Food Society event is officially here.

We’re kicking things off on AUGUST 6TH at The Bull, where the Garden marquee will play host to a very special Goldstone Food Supper Club.

Our Executive Chef at The Bull, Liam Goldstone, has built a loyal following in Bath, with his sought-after supper clubs regularly selling out, so we are feeling rather pleased to have secured one exclusively for the Inn The Sticks crowd.

Expect five tasting courses showcasing elevated dishes, ingredient-led cooking and Liam’s signature style: no-nonsense, seasonal food executed brilliantly and served with a little playful energy along the way. Read on for the delicious menu.

Guests will also have the chance to meet Liam in person, hear more about his food philosophy, and chat about all things ingredients, cooking, and what inspires the dishes coming out of The Bull kitchen.
