Located at the heart of the rural village of Chidham near Chichester, The Old House at Home is perfectly situated close to the historical city of Chichester and within easy reach of Chichester Harbour. Our friendly team offer a warm and welcoming environment and on visiting you are likely to find a steady stream of local clientele and a dog or two stretched out in front of the open fire. Our hospitality has recently been rewarded having received the Trip Advisor Award for Excellence and we are currently in the top rankings of restaurants/pubs in Chichester. OUR FOOD
Whether looking for a light lunch or three course dining experience, our pub in Chidham, Chichester serves up delicious freshly prepared food using locally sourced produce wherever possible. We pride ourselves on offering traditional, homemade and hearty pub fare with daily specials and mouth-watering puddings. We also have a wide range of local ales and fine wines available at the bar. Our hand pumps include ales selected from independent local breweries - Such as Palmers brewery, Bridpot Dorset, Langhams brewery, Lodsworth West Sussex, who produce for us our own bitter, Chidham Best. We also include Doom Bar and Ringwood Best. Our drought cider at this time is Thatchers Traditional

Hi friends and customers. We will be open for outside table service from Friday April 30th. Hours will be 10am to 10pm during the outside only restrictions and food will be available from 12 and served all day. We look forward to seeing you and hope it warms up a little!! Tea and coffee will also be available

A big hello to all our friends and customers as the country begins the gradual process of re opening its doors in some pubs, restaurants and cafes for outside only seating. Unfortunately this is not a viable option for all businesses for a variety of reasons, the main one being the unpredictable weather conditions, which, true to form, are giving us an unseasonably chilly April and the forecast is similar for early May! It is for this reason that we have made the decision to wait until May 17th when we can offer full facilities, both inside and outside for the comfort of our customers and to be able to give the best service. If however, there is a drastic change in the weather as we approach that date we would consider opening up a little earlier but we will announce this on our website and pages.
Thank you all for your support and understanding in these very difficult unprecedented times and we look forward to seeing you all very soon in the ‘new normal’ times ahead.
