Well done to the Canal Trust’s valiant team of paddlers who took part in the Chichester Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge on 14th June. Everyone enjoyed the event in good weather, and there was a great atmosphere and mutual support between the participating teams. The Canal Trust’s volunteers also supported the event in many other ways both during the event itself and throughout the previous week to help ensure another successful day. Thank you, everyone. We look forward to seeing many of our visitors again!

This week, during Volunteers’ Week, we have been hearing from some of the Canal Trust’s volunteers across our wide range of activities. As a charity, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Without their dedication and enthusiasm we couldn’t provide the services which so many people enjoy, whether on our boat trips or using the canal for paddle sports; walking and cycling along the towpath; relaxing in our waterside café; taking part in some of our educational activities; or just enjoying the environment around the canal. A huge THANK YOU to every single volunteer who supports the Canal Trust in whatever capacity to make sure we can continue to thrive for the benefit of the community for many years to come.
