We are looking for someone to join our small team.
If you love coffee and are good with people, we would love to hear from you!⁣
⁣
Coffee experience is ideal ‘but’ not a deal breaker! Training can be provided for the right person! ⁣
⁣
Serving customers and making them great coffee is a big part of the role, but being able to muck in and help with all the other roles (including the cleaning) is important too…⁣
⁣
We are still trying to work out exactly what we need in terms of hours but it could be part or full time but it WILL involve working Saturdays so please DO NOT apply if this isn’t an option for you.⁣

You might have guessed but I’m not very good at this social media thing (5 posts in one year, maybe a new record low for me) even more surprising is Common Grounds has been around for SIX years… knew it was coming up but thank you Apple for ‘Memories’! ⁣⁣

What I find even more surprising about turning six is people actually seem to like what we do (self belief isn’t one of my strong points) so to then receive the above review today really kinda means a lot…⁣⁣

So, THANK YOU Charles and Amy, and THANK YOU to everyone else who has come through our door and supported us over the years… you guys make us what we are!

We are taking a week off for a holiday with our daughter next week so we will be closed Tuesday 16th to Saturday 20th.⁣

We’ll be back open on Tuesday 23rd.
⁣
If you need to stock up on any retail coffee for home you have till 4pm this Saturday!!! ⁣

Coffee experience is ideal 'but' no way is it a deal breaker (we can provide training) being good with people, genuine, hard working and eager to learn would trump an experienced barista with zero social skills.⁣
⁣
We are still trying to work out exactly what we need in terms of help but it could be a mix of part timers and or full time & part time, but it WILL involve working weekends so please do not apply if weekends aren't an option for you.⁣

This was not what we thought would be our first post of 2023 but sadly our good friend Darrin lost his battle with cancer at the weekend. Our thoughts go out to his family during this heartbreaking time. ⁣
⁣
Besides being an awesome baker Darrin was an amazing and supportive friend, his talent, kindness, and strength will never be forgotten. He was truly a great guy, and he’s going to be seriously missed, it feels like a piece of the puzzle is missing. ⁣
⁣
Seeing and hearing all the love, support, words and memories over the last couple of days for Darrin just shows how much he meant to all the people he met over the years, The guy will always be a legend, and so will his buns! ⁣
⁣
Darrin, you should be very proud of everything you achieved, your wonderful family and it’s been nothing but a pleasure knowing you and working with you over the last few years. ⁣
⁣
Rest peacefully my friend, you are sorely missed. ⁣
⁣

We’ll be back open again from tomorrow (providing I don’t break myself today whilst attempting ice skating) and all this week for coffee, cakes and bakes, last minute gifts, retail coffee, gift vouchers etc. ⁣

We’ll then be closed over the Festive Period
