Dear Customers, friends and locals,

There were some concerns raised to the local council building control department that the restaurant building was structurally unsafe, following the car accident which hit the building. The building was always structurally safe.

After the initial accident, Arun council were happy that the actual building was still structurally safe. Hence a small part of the dining area was still in use and the main dining area closed.

It has take a long time for the insurance company assessors and building engineers to complete there work. Hence the delay in completing the building works.

Arun council have written to us recently and they are happy with the works and works to continue. Officers have visited the premises.

A short part of the document is as follows

“The Officers apologise for the delay in responding, we are currently extremely busy and it is taking longer than we would like to respond.

The Building Control Officers are satisfied that the building is no longer dangerous and the Dangerous Structure File that we have open will be closed with no further action required to be taken.

Subject to your own risk assessment that is sufficiently clear of any building work inside the premises there is no reason as far as the Building Control Department is concerned why the building cannot open” ARUN COUNCIL Building Control.

We are now using this opportunity to completely refurbish the premises. And hope to be fully
Open in due course. For the time being we still maintain a small dining area and full
Takeaway service.
