A little drop of paradise just under 30 minutes from Portsmouth and one we’d strongly recommend adding to your list this summer. Today we visited the Boathouse Chichester Marina.

Just picture waterside dining, boats drifting through the harbour, sea air, cocktails on the terrace and some seriously good food, all surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The newly-opened Lobster Hatch is now serving food and drinks every weekend this summer, with fresh local seafood, burgers and outdoor dining right by the marina.

They also have live music and DJ sets happening throughout the summer, which gives the whole place that laid-back coastal holiday energy without travelling too far from Portsmouth.

Perfect for the following:
- A relaxed breakfast by the water
- Long lazy lunches in the sun
- Coffee and cake during a harbour stroll
- Sunset drinks overlooking the marina
- Or an easy family day out away from the city

There’s loads of indoor, outdoor and covered seating, three hours free parking with additional hours chargeable, and the views across Chichester Harbour are worth the drive alone. Less than 30 minutes east of Portsmouth.

Tacos, tequila and live music by the marina 🌮🍹🌊

Join us for Baja at the Marina on Saturday 6th June from 4pm for an evening inspired by the flavours of Baja, with live music by Honey Bee from 6–8pm and a special taco menu full of bold summer flavours.

The menu features fried po***ck tacos with chipotle mayo and chilli lime slaw, piri-piri pork belly with avocado and pickled onion, hot honey grilled halloumi with tzatziki and rocket, plus octopus and chorizo with romesco and padrón peppers.

With tequila flowing and live music as the sun goes down, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening by the water ☀️
