A lovely 5 mile flat walk around the Sussex Weald taking in part of the Serpent Trail. A pint at the Cricketers, Duncton in their beautiful garden at the end.

Our July walk was a lovely 5 miles from the Hamilton Arms near Stedham. A walk of quaint bridges, idyllic villages, riverside shade and meadows of wild flowers. Into Stedham we went where we followed the River Rother towards the mill. Here we veered northwards as far as Tote Hill before following the New Lipchis Way along a tributary towards Iping where we rejoined the River Rother. Then back into Stedham and an appalling pint of 44 Brew at the Hamilton Arms that had the loveliest looking Thai buffet. We enjoyed one of the best beer gardens in Sussex. It just needed a decent beer to go with it.

It's walk day on Sunday. Meeting at 10.00.am at Petworth Car Park for a 5.9 mile walk along the Serpent Trail and returning via Bognor Common, Riverhill and Byworth (with refreshment stop at the Black Horse).

It was a very enjoyable Spring walk today from Slindon taking in bluebells (Nore Wood) and lots of lambs in the fields between Gumber Farm and Slindon.

We finished with a pint at the fabulous George at Eartham.

Our walk for April is on Sunday April 12th starting at the entrance to Slindon College, 10.00.am. 5.8 miles will take us through Nore Wood where the bluebells may be out. They are already appearing in Slindon Wood so 🤞 Afterwards we will retire to the George at Eartham.

Our March walk was a very pleasant 5 35 miles from the Old House At Home, Chidham which took us out to the edge of Chichester Harbour and then around to the other side via Cobnor Point. A pint of TEA was the prize for me at the end.
