👋 Meet the Team: Simon (He/Him) - Wholesale Coffee Trainer at Trading Post Coffee Roasters
☕ Go-to coffee: Flat White with our rotating single origin
🫘 Favourite blend: Black Pearl - I love the fruity notes it brings out in a long black, but it also carries its flavour really well into a flat white.
🍽️ Favourite brunch: Full English Breakfast with an extra slice of sourdough - enough carbs to fuel me up for cycling up some hills after work! 🚴
 
I started at Trading Post almost two years ago as the Head Barista at our Horsham coffee house. Since then, I’ve worked as a Junior Roaster and now I’m loving my new role as Wholesale Coffee Trainer!
 
My favourite part of the job is getting to interact with so many different people across the company. I get to travel across the country supporting our wholesale customers, as well as working with teams in our coffee houses dotted around the South Coast. ☕️
 
🏡 Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me in London watching my favourite football team win European titles, or cycling around my local area. I’ve also got a huge passion for concept art and illustration, so I’m always sketching in my spare time whenever I can. ✏️🎨

What an incredible weekend. Over the two days we brewed a range of our favourite current speciality single origins:
 
Monteblanco, Colombia - our first ever co-ferment speciality coffee 🇨🇴 
Loma Ocotitlán, Mexico 🇲🇽 
Gotiti, Ethiopia 🇪🇹
 
And of course, we brought our Great Taste Award-winning Expedition Coffee Pods along, and award-winning Mono Loco took centre stage in the latte art competition 🏆

👋 Meet the Team: Amy (She/Her) - Assistant Manager at Trading Post Western Road, Brighton
☕ Go-to coffee: Cold brew with maple cold foam
🫘 Favourite blend: Grand Espresso - I don’t think anything beats the way Italians make their coffee. My fiancé is Italian so I’ve spent a lot of time there, and nothing beats an espresso at the bar with a pastry 🥐
🍽️ Favourite dish: Hot Honey Halloumi & Mushrooms on Pitta - I love that sweet and spicy combo
 
I’ve been at Trading Post for around 3 months, but I’ve worked in hospitality since I was 14. My favourite part of the job is speaking with customers, making people feel welcomed and serving beautiful food and drinks. There’s nothing quite like making someone smile. 😊
 
🏡 Outside of work you’ll find me paddleboarding, dancing at free music events on the seafront supporting local artists, or catching a film at the cinema. In the colder months I’m glued to my Switch - currently working my way through Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and I’m a force to be reckoned with on Mario Kart (you can find me at local tournaments 🏆). Most importantly, I share my home with a beautiful rescue tortoiseshell cat named Doris 🐾
