The Waldegrave Arms A local country pub in the true tradition offering good food and drink and pub sports. We have three distinct seating areas in the pub.

Derek and Sue Clarke and son, Allan, offer you a warm welcome to their family run village pub. Thirty Five years ago the ‘Clarke’ family took over the license at ‘The Waldegrave Arms’ with the intention of running a pub that they would want to frequent themselves. Good food, quality real ales and above all a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. One is a comfortable 50 seater dining area. The second is

our public bar where we host four dart teams and six quiz league teams as well as charity quiz nights. Thirdly, our well kept garden where you can sit and view our award winning flowers – ‘Mendip in bloom’ winners five times and placed four times. In 2011 we won the Shaun Cregan trophy for the best floral pub in the South West! We are conveniently situated on the A39 between Bath, Bristol and Wells, so why not come to the Mendips and pay us a visit. We look forward to seeing you!

Due to the start time of the England game on Wednesday night, we will be adjusting our opening times the evening of 15th July.

We will be opening earlier at 5.30pm, with our kitchen closing at 7.30pm.

We are taking bookings for dine in and takeaways, if you would like to celebrate game night with one of our pub classics or homemade desserts!

To allow for our staff to be able to watch the England game, we will be closing our kitchen slightly earlier than usual on Saturday 11th July.

This week we met with Mel Rich from Paulton Maternity Unit and Nicky Halford from Time is Precious.

Following Derek’s 80th Birthday quiz, we raised a whopping £1531 for the charities.

Derek would like to thank everyone again for their massive generosity on the night and for all of his birthday wishes and lovely gifts. It’s was so very much appreciated.

What a truly amazing evening, a charity quiz hosted by the birthday boy Derek!!

16 teams, all came together to raise a whopping £1531 for Paulton Maternity Unit - what a wonderful way to celebrate with Derek to raise money for this local charity.

Massive thank you to everyone who took part, well done to winners Team 11 (3 players), Team 7 (4 players) and Team 5 (5 players)

A special thank you to all of our dedicated staff who worked so very hard this evening and our auctioneer, Mr Brian Bray - huge thank you.

The best birthday gift Derek could have asked for, landlady Sue made it to the pub, the first time since her accident, this made the evening extra special. ❤️

✨Important Notice ✨

We will be closing earlier than usual on Sunday 31st May

To celebrate the 80th birthday of our fab landlord Derek, we are hosting a charity event to raise money for the Maternity Unit at Paulton Memorial Hospital 🎈🎉

Our kitchen will be closing early at 4pm, with doors closed for this private event at 6pm 🕰️

We will be open as usual for the rest of the week!
