A polite but important reminder to all our customers.
The vast majority of our locals and visitors are responsible and always use the ashtrays provided. Unfortunately, we are still finding cigarette butts discarded on the grass, which is highly concerning—particularly with the increased risk of grass fires during the dry weather.
Smoking is permitted on the paved patio only. Please do not smoke on the grassed areas, and never throw cigarette ends onto the grass. Even a small ember can start a serious fire and put our customers, neighbours, property and business at risk.
Anyone seen discarding cigarette butts on the grass will be politely asked to leave.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation in helping us keep The Holme Hall Inn and our surrounding community safe. Thank you.

It’s a gorgeous sunny day – let us cook for you! ☀️
Today we’re giving you a little sneak peek at TWO dishes coming to our brand-new menu, launching at the end of September!
🍗 Creamy Chicken, Bacon & Leek £12.95
Succulent chicken breast topped with our homemade creamy bacon & leek sauce, served with a fluffy jacket potato and fresh dressed salad.
🥗 Chicken & Bacon Salad £9.99
Tender chicken and crispy bacon with a fresh, colourful salad – perfect for a sunny day!
Both are available as today’s specials, so come and give them a try before the new menu officially launches.

David from Quizness always gives a great run down of events… last night was fantastic!!

Another brilliant night of SpeedQuizzing at Chesterfield’s Holmehall Inn.

We had a few regulars on holiday leave but we still had Nineteen teams bringing their best game to the Holme Hall Inn. Serial quizzer Anthony rocked up with another quizzing fiend and left empty handed as “Chuck Norris beat a Jet2 Holiday” took the win and the cash back up North. Special mention goes to “I thought this was Bingo” who single-handed took the Runners-up slot. (As good as a victory on any other night). Michelle, aka “Scrambled Egghead” took third and got pulled . . . . . . into the winners photo anyway.

Down in 19th place, perhaps playing for next week’s consolation points, hang your heads - “Team Chaos”.

Play Your Cards Right features a nice neat £300 jackpot. Tonight, it was last week’s SpeedQuiz winner, Beth, who stood up to turn those cards. Alas the cards weren’t playing nicely and Beth wasn’t stood up for long. Ouch.

So next week we’ll be playing for £300 but only after four rounds of interactive quizzing and free snap at half-time. You’ll be in the hands of AJ for one week only, cos I’ll be biking and boozing around the Nurburgring. Do look after him 👍
