We had a visitor from the Derbyshire Times last week.

Their team came to see how things are going since Scrannery took over the café here on Chatsworth Road, and Julia Rodgerson has written a lovely piece about the change, including a good look inside at the refreshed space.

The name is new, and a few things are too. But the team you know is still here, the coffee is still good, and this is still the same corner of Brampton it's always been. That was always the plan.

Customers old, customers new, plenty of drinks flowing and our new nighttime drinks & nibbles were a BIG hit! 🙌🍸🍴

What a start!

Derbyshire Live and Chesterfield Live have featured Mary’s Yard this week in a great article and it means a great deal to see Brampton’s response to our first few weeks back open.

Our job from day one has been to look after what was already here: the team, the warmth, the familiar faces — all while carefully bringing Scrannery’s approach to food, coffee, and hospitality.

The early signs suggest Brampton has welcomed us in. And we couldn’t be more grateful for that.

But this is just the beginning. There’s plenty more still to come from Mary’s Yard and we can’t wait to share it with you.
