🐾 Dog of the Week 🐾
This week’s Dog of the Week is a little different. We’d like to introduce Toddie, a much loved 13 year old Whippet who was a frequent visitor to The Boathouse and sadly passed away recently. ❤️
Toddie was a big fan of our steak and chips although, if he had anything to do with it, his owners’ dinner was often more his dinner than theirs! 🥩🍟 He also loved our heated beach huts during the colder months, where he could stay warm and cosy while still keeping a close eye on the ducks along the River Dee. 🦆
Rain and cold weather, however, were definitely not his thing. He’d shake like a leaf until he was back somewhere warm and cosy. And when it came to dining out, his own dog food simply wouldn’t do… he much preferred a taste of whatever his owners were having! 😂
His best trick? The famous Whippet hover. Toddie would refuse to sit fully down on the cold restaurant floor, hovering just enough to convince his owners he was sitting unless, of course, there was a blanket or something warm underneath him!
