🌈🎭 BACKSTAGE IS READY FOR CHESTER PRIDE! 🎭🌈

The decorations are UP, the glitter is OUT and we are officially counting down to Chester Pride this Saturday! 🏳️‍🌈✨

We’re ridiculously excited for the weekend and can’t wait to celebrate Pride with our gorgeous Chester community! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

This weekend you can catch us open:

🎭 TONIGHT – Thursday

🌈 SATURDAY – CHESTER PRIDE! 🌈
Backstage will be closed, because we’re taking the show on the road!

From 12 noon, keep your eyes peeled for the Backstage cast walking the Chester Pride Parade, making our way around the city, belting out show tunes and bringing a little musical theatre magic to the streets of Chester! 🎶💃

And afterwards, our fabulous owner and Chester drag queen Miss Hertz will be taking over the Chester Pride Main Stage! 👑🎤✨

So if you spot us in the parade… give us a wave, a cheer, or your BEST JAZZ HANDS! 👐✨

🎭🌈 BACKSTAGE IS OFFICIALLY PART OF CHESTER PRIDE! 🌈🎭

This Saturday, the fabulous Backstage team and friends will be taking to the streets of Chester and walking in the Chester Pride Parade! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Keep an eye (and an ear 👀🎶) out for us — we’ll be bringing the full Backstage experience with us:

🎶 Big musical theatre show tunes
🎤 Plenty of sing-alongs
🫧 Bubbles filling the streets
⭐ Backstage stickers to give out along the way
🎭 And, of course, our fabulous Backstage cast!

And the show doesn’t stop when the parade finishes…

From 2pm–4pm, our very own owner and Chester drag queen Miss Hertz will be taking over the Chester Pride Main Stage! 💋🎤🌈

So pop over, give her a wave, make some noise and join in with the Pride celebrations!

⚠️ BACKSTAGE WILL BE CLOSED THIS SATURDAY ⚠️

Miss Hertz is one very busy bee 🐝 and will be performing and working at Chester Pride throughout the day, so sadly we won’t be opening the bar on Saturday.

BUT… we’ll be back Sunday from 5pm–midnight for your official post-Pride hangover party! 🍸🎶

So spend Saturday celebrating Pride with us in the streets… then come and recover with us Backstage on Sunday. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

The news that Liverpool is planning a statue to honour The Vivienne is an incredible moment for drag, the LGBTQ+ community, and the arts.

Leading the Backstage Crew will be our very own Jay / Miss Hertz, banner held high, as we strut our way through Chester singing all your favourite show tunes! Whether you’re a Wicked witch, a Moulin Rouge superstar, a Hamilton revolutionary, a SIX queen, or just someone who loves a good jazz hand… you’re invited! 🌟

✨ Musical theatre costumes and outfits are not only welcome… they’re encore-worthy! The bigger, bolder and more theatrical, the better!

👠 A Couple of House Rules
• The parade takes approximately 40 minutes, so please make sure you’re comfortable walking for that amount of time .
• Wear sensible, comfortable footwear… the roman cobbles aren’t very forgiving!
• Bring plenty of energy, Pride, smiles… and be prepared to belt out the biggest show tunes all the way through Chester! 🎤

Let’s paint the town with Pride, music and a little bit of Broadway magic. 🌈🎭
