After three and a half extraordinary years, it’s time to share something deeply personal with you—our Chester family.
Augusto was born from our dream to bring more authentic Italian soul to this city, building on the heart and legacy of Da Noi.
From that first day, you welcomed us in, turning Augusto into far more than a pizzeria.
You made it a place where stories were written: couples became families, friends gathered to celebrate milestones, wedding receptions filled the room with laughter, and we rolled up our sleeves together for pizza masterclasses, charity and collaboration events. Our brand became recognised further and sought after, not just in Chester, but beyond.
Recently, something truly interesting happened—a Chester operator approached us with an offer to take over the lease for our premises on Northgate St.
It was a moment that made us pause and reflect on our whole journey: on the lessons we learned from Da Noi’s experience and closure exactly a year ago, and on how much more we achieve when both of us can focus our passion and energy on a single vision, together, and how much more value we can add to it. Like in life, together, 100% dedicated to something, we are far more effective.

After weeks of heartfelt discussion, we made a decision that is both challenging and filled with hope. This isn’t about struggle—Augusto is thriving, and it’s all thanks to you.
But we believe in always moving forward, and in giving our very best to what we love most.
That’s why, from January, Valentina and I will dedicate ourselves entirely to Krum Gelato.
We want to pour all our experience, creativity, and love into making Chester a true destination for artisan gelato—a brand that can grow further regionally and, we hope, nationally, while always honouring our Italian roots.
The bittersweet part-Augusto’s final day of service will be Tuesday, December 23rd, just before Christmas.
Until then, we want these last 3 weeks to be a true celebration, with surprises and returns. Rest assured this isn’t an ending, but a further transformation.
