Important Update Regarding Our Tea Room ☕️ As many of you know, I underwent emergency hernia surgery back in April. Unfortunately, my recovery has been very rocky. Over the last few months, I have tried my best to keep pushing through. However, after every weekend of work, the pain and swelling have become unmanageable, leading to multiple hospital visits. Because of this, we have been closed for the past three weeks. I have been taking things week by week, but I now need to face reality. I am undergoing further medical scans and tests to determine the cause of these complications. Therefore, the tea room will remain closed until at least September. Thank you all so much for your understanding, kindness, and ongoing support. I miss work and seeing everyone enjoying different occasions, but I’ll try to keep you all updated. It’s a “you’ve gotta laugh or you’ll cry” moment. You work through all the recessions and difficulties that food businesses and independent owners are facing at the moment but there’s always something waiting around the corner! Running a restaurant can be the most rewarding thing, but when a business hinges entirely on you as a sole owner, it can be so nerve-wracking when these things happen. On a hugely positive note, I’ve been able to spend lots of time with my children 🥰 We have been baking lots, as you would expect.. I might share a few of our not-so-disastrous endeavours on here for you to try if you have children too. Sophie x
