16 years ago in Cheltenham Maurice and Nanette Chaplais opened Chaplais Deli (Maison Chaplais) in Tivoli and more recently in 2019, Chaplais Kitchen, a bistro cafe in Montpellier Street . At the heart of both has been the desire to deliver simple food and delicious dishes crafted with both locally sourced ingredients and ingredients from small scale artisan suppliers abroad. It also serves made t

o order sandwiches and drinks to enjoy both in or for takeaway. Chaplais Kitchen is a bistro cafe dedicated to presenting uncomplicated favourites in an exceptional way, from breakfast through to dinner. It features an alfresco dining area where customers can watch the world go by as they eat.

Provenance is so important when it comes to our ingredients at Chaplais even down to our olive oil 🫒

Nannete Chaplais; one of our owners is currently helping with the harvest for 'One man and his donkey' over in Italy. This has becomea real tradition for her so she can get a real personal understanding of where one of our products come from.

'One man and his donkey' is a brand we love which we both use in our restaurant and sell in our Deli. Zio Tom harvests his olives every year in October under the watch of the snow capped mountains of Gran Sasso d'Itallia and from these produce their single estate cold press extra virgin olive oil.
