When we started Hallowed Grounds over four years ago, we hoped we’d meet people, get to know them and their needs, and ultimately provide “Coffee with Heart”. Little did we know that our customers would leave an indelible mark on our lives. Shortly after we opened, we met Huw & Rachel and their grandchildren. We watched the grand children grow and one arrive! We looked forward to their weekly Friday morning visits & missed them when they weren’t there. Today was their last Friday with us. Their grandparent responsibilities have changed & they won’t be coming to Cheltenham regularly. While we may see them again, it won’t be with any regularity. They gifted us with these wonderful books & card, but the real gift was their friendship. ♥️♥️ Thank you Huw & Rachel.

Help! They are taking over! Who? My wonderful “regulars” have decided they can take over in my absence. It’s either a wonderful experiment or I had a moment of insanity 🤣🤣 Truly, I couldn’t be more proud of the Hallowed Grounds community and the fact they love it so much, they want to keep it open. Please don’t disappoint them!

The Hallowed Grounds community is taking over the coffee cart on Saturday 26 September! I’m away for a few days & the Community asked if they could keep us open by running it together! Won’t you drop in Saturday and encourage them? They’d love to see you and welcome you to the HG family! Stay tuned for further details.

*NEW* The rain has cleared and given way to the sun. What a perfect time to introduce the Bonfire Mocha 🔥(okay, okay I’ll admit Bonfire might would be more perfect!) Amy way, drop in and try this mocha with toasted marshmallow cold foam and cookie crumble. Want it hot? No problem 🔥 And while you’re at it, don’t forget to bring in non-perishable items for the food bank! Thank you for your contribution La so far.

Community isn’t something that just happens. It takes time. Energy. Investment. Hallowed Grounds is many things to many people. Some come only for the coffee. Others come for our cakes and paninis & a friendly smile. But most stay for the connection. The warmth. Yesterday, we had the privilege of catering for the Cheltenham Housing Aid team headed by Mary Apperley. We first met Mary and her team 3-years ago when they visited on of our customers (their client) at Hallowed Grounds. Why? Because their client felt safest meeting in the place where she’s been supported and accepted. Since then, Mary and her team have been instrumental in supporting several of our customers with various housing needs. Little did we know when we started the coffee cart over 4-years ago that we’d be a bridge between customers and the services they need. It’s a privilege for us to support the community in this way. Just another war we deliver “Coffee with Heart ♥️♥️”
