Want to share our food? Fear not. Not only will we cut your burgers in half, we actively encourage it 🙌

Just notify staff at any of the bars you’d like them cut when ordering, they’ll let us know, enjoy your wait and consider it done.

We’ve also had people ask about plates, knives and forks of late. We could never. It just wouldn’t be the same.

We believe an integral part of our experience is ripping that bag open and the smell that hits the table when opening up the burgers is irreplaceable - Food designed to be enjoyed with loved ones.

Our aim is to surprise people with the quality of our food, and its packaging has become key to how we’ve decided to present it. It hasn’t failed us so far.

A burger on a white plate? Once again we could never.

Get ripping those bags open and enjoy.

Another big Friday-Sunday is on the cards ☀️

With the big game of the weekend kicking off at 10pm on Saturday, we’ll be monitoring all pubs to ensure you can access the good stuff to calm any nerves before Jude takes over and Erling gets tanked.

Shoutout everyone that ate with us during Wivenhoe Regatta, there was a record amount of food cooked and we enjoyed every second.

And, although it feels like a lifetime ago, shouts to everyone at The Blue Lion for the England vs Congo match - The vibes were very strong in the pub and garden, you lot cleared us out.

The Black Buoy (Wivenhoe), Blue Lion (Baddow) and O’Connors (Moulsham) are open throughout the weekend with Deliveroo available across Colchester & Chelmsford 🚲 💨

The idea was to make a loosely-based World Cup burger, which started off with the question - ’What’s the most American thing we can think of?’

The answer? Elvis on a toilet, PB&J in hand.

And that’s why it’s officially PB&J (with shouts to Mexico & Canada) szn - Grab one whilst you can 🔥

The PB&J Jalapeño Bacon Double Cheese is available all July at The Black Buoy (Colchester), The Blue Lion (Baddow), O’Connors (Chelmsford City Centre) and online via Deliveroo throughout both cities.

In a world of perfect burgers we’ve concluded one of the best things about ours is the imperfections.

Our beef finds it’s way to us courtesy of a winning roulette of some of the highest grade, native, dry-aged mince available in the UK.

Longhorn? Angus? Dexter?

30 day dry-aged? 50 days?

Whatever lands - We chat, grill, and smash it up in the best way we choose, taking many factors into account along the way.

Buns? Our Demi-brioche buns are baked locally in a place close to our hearts deep in north Essex and constantly evolve behind the scenes.

Our salt beef comes from a percy connect we could never share with you.

Alternatives? Our day-one vegan patties land direct from the symplicity. team headed up by (with their range just landing in Waitrose don’t you know) 💁‍♀️

Team Smashed? By trying some of our food you’re in.

Our key suppliers haven’t fumbled the bag yet, we’re just out here showing them off tbh.

Source the good good. Supply, teach, cook, and serve it right.

As there’s a load of new eyes on us, allow us to explain what we bring to the venues we operate in.

Across all three pubs we’ve implemented what we believe is the simplest way of keeping things relaxed for us and you.

Menu’s should be everywhere - When you’re ready to order head to the bar who will gladly help with any questions and upon ordering you’ll be given a buzzer.

When the buzzer goes off? The good stuff is ready - Head to the collection point and enjoy.

No table reservations. No plates. Just vibes (and what we’re certain is the best burger you’ve had in a while).

Ordering on Deliveroo? We’ve put endless hours putting in place a system that ensures your food leaves our kitchen hot and fresh.

Rest assured we battle our end to constantly keep the levels high. Every time.

1. Our permanent residency at The Blue Lion begins THIS THURSDAY!!!!

That came around quick didn’t it? We’re busy getting everything in place to make things smooth for you lot and we cannot wait for you to come and check out the new digs, Weds-Sunday every week 🏠

2. WORLD CUP - Right, we’re going to stay flexible around England games to make sure you have access to the goods and it’ll be our job to keep you guys updated as we go along.

ENGLAND VS CROATIA: Open on Deliveroo until 9.15pm, open at the Black Buoy until 10pm - LETS GO ENGLAND ⚽️

3. FATHERS DAY - This Sunday is Father’s Day, and if it’s anything like last year we’re in for an absolute belter!

4. O’Connors - REMEMBER: We have now dropped Sundays to concentrate on the extra space/garden at The Blue Lion, however each Friday and Saturday we’ll be bang in the centre of the city at O’Connors and on Deliveroo to sort your burger cravings…
