THE KIDS ARE GOING BACK TO SCHOOL… YOU’VE EARNED THIS. 😂☕

Seven weeks of entertaining them, feeding them, refereeing them and hearing “Muuuum/Daaaad…” approximately 47,000 times.

So, to celebrate the return of the school run, we’re treating one deserving parent or guardian (and a person of their choice!) to breakfast for two, plus tea or coffee, here at the Riverside next week. 🍳☕

👏 A huge WELL DONE to our amazing team!

What a Bank Holiday weekend… from Friday to Monday, our kitchen and front-of-house teams helped us serve an incredible 1,526 meals! 🍽️

It was brilliant to see the pub so busy, and we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who chose to eat, drink and spend part of their Bank Holiday with us. ❤️

👋 MEET THE TEAM: STEVE

If you’ve known The Riverside for a while, you might recognise this face! Steve is one of our longest-serving team members, originally joining us way back in 2004 as our Head Chef.

Since then, he’s successfully run his own business – and there was even a short spell where the tables turned and Huw worked for Steve! 😄

When Steve heard Huw & Jo were returning to The Riverside, he agreed to come back too, bringing all his knowledge and experience to support our existing kitchen team.

He’s a brilliant guy, a proper team player and a huge part of the Riverside family.

His only downside? He supports West Ham… although at least he didn’t have too far to travel to watch Bristol City beat them! ⚽️😂

And this weekend is an extra special one, as Steve is taking a very well-deserved break to celebrate his 70th birthday! 🎉

Happy 70th Steve, from all of us at The Riverside! We hope there’s a birthday gin (or two!) involved. 🍸🥳

🎶 Live Music this Sunday at The Riverside! ☀️🍻

The brilliant Ryan Haynes will be joining us this Sunday for an afternoon of live music, good food and drinks — the perfect way to round off the Bank Holiday weekend.

We’re hoping for some sunshine so we can enjoy it outside 🤞☀️ but if the Great British weather has other ideas, don’t worry - we’ll simply move the music indoors!
