We're incredibly grateful for every single customer who supports our takeaway, whether you order in-store, by phone, or through Deliveroo, Uber Eats, or Just Eat. ❤️
We wanted to be transparent about why our prices on delivery apps are higher than our in-store and direct ordering prices.
Delivery platforms charge us a significant commission on every order. Last week alone, we paid around £1,500 in commission fees. That's the equivalent of three staff wages for the week.
At the same time, the cost of fresh ingredients such as vegetables and poultry has continued to rise. Unfortunately, we simply couldn't absorb both the increasing food costs and the high commission fees, so we had no choice but to increase our prices on the delivery platforms.
We completely understand why so many people love the convenience of home delivery—it's quick, easy, and fits busy lifestyles. We appreciate that these apps provide a valuable service.
However, if you're able to order directly from us by phone or collect your order, every pound stays with our small business instead of going towards commission fees. It helps us invest in our staff, maintain the quality of our food, and keep our prices as fair as possible.
