Hello, I’m Pete the creator of Birds Bugs & Butterflies.

Using my own unique design, I make handmade wooden nesting boxes and feeders for birds, and shelters for bugs and butterflies.

All of my products are made using wood that is certified as sustainably sourced and metal parts which are all stainless steel. The high quality preservatives, paints and varnishes that I use are all safe for birds, bugs and butterflies.

As more and more business now takes place online, there are becoming less and less places on the high street to purchase high quality, locally made items. As Romney Marsh has always been home to me, it will be lovely to have my whole range of products for sale and on display at Romney Creatives, and as a Community Interest Company, it means Romney Creatives is going to benefit our local community.

Unfortunately, due to low staffing, we won’t be attending Ashford Market this Wednesday or Thursday.

You can still find us at Canterbury Whitefriars though, where we’ll be ready with all your favourite bakes! 🥐🍞

We are officially reopening, but we are reaching out with heavy hearts.

Due to ongoing road closures, there is currently no vehicle or traffic access directly outside our shop. Without drive-by visitors and with passing traffic completely cut off, our footfall has plummeted. To be entirely honest, these access restrictions have put the future of our business at serious risk.

We’ve worked so hard to keep serving this community, but we simply cannot survive this period without your help. If you are able to support us right now, it would mean the world to our team:

Visit us on foot: We are open for walk-in takeaway. If you're within walking distance, coming by for a meal genuinely keeps our doors open.

Order online for collection: You can place your order online in advance to collect on foot, ensuring your meal is freshly cooked and ready the moment you walk through the door.

We know times are tough for everyone, which makes asking for help even harder. But every single order, share, or visit right now truly makes the difference between keeping our fryers on or closing for good.
