We’re recruiting for a part-time Cook/Café Server
We are looking for a cook/café server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love of good food, great customer service and a can-do, positive attitude. We are a community-owned café in the heart of Charlbury, established for over 30 years, and we’re looking for new team members to help us serve our lovely customers with great coffee, delicious cakes, breakfasts and lunches. You don’t need to be a professional cook already, if you have some kitchen experience and a desire to create and serve food in a busy environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities include food preparation ahead of a busy shift; creating and serving breakfasts, sandwiches and lunches; taking orders, serving customers and using the till; making drinks; keeping work areas clean, organised and well stocked; ordering stock; completing food hygiene checks; developing seasonal menus; working well within the team, helping out where needed.
Part-time, permanent contract
Expected hours: 14 – 30 per week
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Requirements:
Kitchen/catering experience.
A love of good food.
A friendly, caring and professional approach.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
An understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices.
The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.
Weekend availability.
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable.
Flexibility to work regular shifts and cover holidays/sickness.
