So yesterday we said farewell to the man himself, my dad, your ice cream man,Mr Whirly.

It was such a lovely service, we laughed, we cried, but above all we done him proud. He would of loved the golf inspired coffin, it was perfect for him as he loved playing whenever he could.
My family and I would like to thank everyone who came out in the town for his final time to pay their respects, dads ice cream van following him and playing the iconic Popeye chimes, it sounded fantastic.
Thank you everyone for all the messages we have had over social media, they have been so overwhelming and moving to read, people stopping me in the town, we would reminisce about dad and his humour.
Dads team have been fantastic running things for dad when he wasn’t there, for that we are truly grateful.

Take care, look after each other, thank you for all your support.

We are so very overwhelmed with all the messages and loving comments received about dad. To read them all is truly touching, he will leave a very big gap in our lives.

It’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of my dad 🥲Your ice cream man for the last 46 years. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife holding his hand and the dogs on the bed, the way he wanted, he will be sorely missed.
